Continued strong momentum of the night asphalt movement in Arak; “Night Asphalt Marathon in the Heart of the City”
With the aim of improving transportation infrastructure and increasing citizen satisfaction, the night asphalt movement continues with speed and determination in various parts of Arak. This plan, under the slogan «Night Asphalt Marathon in the Heart of Arak», is being implemented continuously and by utilizing all executive capacities, and has covered a significant portion of the city’s worn-out streets. The nighttime execution of the asphalt paving project has been planned with the goal of reducing daily traffic load, facilitating movement, and accelerating the process of street rehabilitation, and energy imbalances will continue until full coverage of the target routes is achieved. Last night, 826 tons of asphalt were laid on the prioritized streets in zones one and two under the Urban Development and Regeneration Organization.

3,200 tons of asphalt distributed over three nights
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, as part of the continued implementation of the major asphalt campaign in Arak, Dr. Alireza Mahmoudi, the mayor of Arak, announced the distribution and laying of 3,200 tons of asphalt over three nights in municipal districts one, two, three, and four. This extensive urban infrastructure operation, under the slogan “Nighttime Asphalt Marathon in the Heart of Arak,” was carried out in the middle of the night in a focused and continuous manner, with the aim of improving urban streets and enhancing the quality of citizens’ travel. Dr. Mahmoudi, emphasizing the need to revitalize and repair worn-out urban infrastructure, stated: The asphalt campaign is one of the serious priorities of urban management in order to improve citizens’ quality of life and enhance the city’s appearance. Given the deterioration of some streets and avenues, Arak Municipality, through careful planning and the round-the-clock efforts of its hardworking staff, has carried out asphalt paving and the reconstruction of high-traffic routes in the shortest possible time. He added: The extensive asphalt paving operations at night are conducted with the aim of reducing traffic load and facilitating citizens’ movement, without creating traffic congestion in daily commuting. This process will continue until all targeted points in various urban areas are fully covered. The mayor of Arak, while appreciating the cooperation of citizens and the tireless efforts of the implementation teams, noted: Improving streets and sidewalks is not only effective in enhancing the city’s safety, but also plays an important role in beautifying urban spaces and increasing public satisfaction. It should be noted that carrying out this volume of asphalt paving over three nights is considered one of the operational infrastructure projects in recent years in Arak, and has been placed on the agenda in line with the development-oriented policies of urban management.

Municipal construction measures by District 5 Municipality of Arak as part of a jihadist initiative
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, in this regard, projects including paving Bahrami Street, organizing the sidewalk at the end of Qaem-Maqam Street, replacing curbstones in Forouzan Alley, and also cleaning up and removing the unsightliness of the vacant lot on Shahid Rast Boulevard, with the aim of improving the urban appearance and citizens' welfare, have been implemented. These measures have been carried out within the framework of the municipality's jihadist and service-oriented approach, with emphasis on speed, quality, and responsiveness to local demands.

Distribution of about 796 tons of asphalt in one night; the improvement of Arak city streets will not stop
According to the Department of Communications and International Affairs of the Arak Municipality, in line with the implementation of the street improvement plan and the upgrading of urban infrastructure, asphalt paving operations across Arak are being carried out with seriousness and speed. Streets that are a priority for implementation are now being covered one after another with new asphalt. At dawn on July 9, 2025, the Urban Development and Regeneration Organization of the Arak Municipality, as part of a large-scale operation, succeeded in producing and distributing about 796 tons of asphalt in various urban نقاط. Nighttime distribution of 831 tons of asphalt aimed at improving street quality
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Municipality, as part of the ongoing renovation and improvement of the city’s streets, the metropolis of Arak municipality is carrying out extensive asphalt paving operations on some high-traffic routes at night. The purpose of this measure is to speed up project completion and minimize traffic and disruptions to movement. In line with this program, the streets prioritized in the districts are paved with asphalt every night under traffic load. In this regard, the distribution and paving of 831 tons of asphalt in the streets of districts one and two of Arak Municipality last night was part of the planned nighttime asphalt paving operations.

Infrastructure development steps in District 4 of Arak Metropolitan Municipality continue
According to the Communications and International Affairs Department of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, District 4 of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, in line with improving urban infrastructure, has recently distributed 200 tons of asphalt across the district's streets and roads. In addition, as part of ongoing construction activities, 142 meters of curb installation have been carried out to improve surface water drainage and organize the streets. These measures have been taken to enhance the quality of urban services and increase citizen satisfaction.

Paving of the alleys of Sheikh al-Islam and Agha Zia al-Din in Arak's historic bazaar
The manager of the historic fabric district of Arak Municipality said: In line with preserving and maintaining the valuable historic bazaar complex and with the aim of improving the passages and alleys of the bazaar, the paving and stone-paving operations of the Sheikh al-Islam and Agha Zia al-Din alleys of this complex, from the Mohseni Street side, are underway. According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Municipality, Hossein Mansouri Zadeh added in announcing the news: Considering the deterioration of the asphalt in the Sheikh al-Islam and Agha Zia al-Din (second and sixth) alleys of the historic bazaar from the Mohseni Street side, and the inconsistency of the asphalt with the structure of this historic complex, the stone-paving operation of these alleys has been placed on the district's agenda. He further noted: The executive operation of stone-paving the Sheikh al-Islam alley has been completed, and the removal of the asphalt in the Agha Zia al-Din alley from the Mohseni Street side has been carried out, and with the participation of the municipality and the electricity department, the removal of the electricity poles in this alley in order to continue the substructure and stone-paving operations is underway. At the end, the manager of the historic fabric district of Arak Municipality thanked the bazaar shopkeepers and citizens for their cooperation with the municipality in carrying out construction and restoration measures in the Arak historic bazaar complex.
