According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Arak Metropolitan Municipality, the paving works for the Molla Qasem (Third) passage toward Hisar Street and the Haj Taghi Khan bazaar, over an area of more than 1,000 square meters, were leveled and paved after removing the overhead network and power poles. In continuation of the restoration and preservation projects of the historic bazaar, given the erosion of some domed vaults in the bazaar corridor and the increased risk they pose in public passages, the demolition and renovation of the domes has been completed. Also, lightening the structure, removing worn layers of mud plaster, brick paving, and the third stage of roof construction, including Goljabeh, are underway. The construction of the vault and roof of the corridor of the Sandouq-Sazha caravanserai in the historic bazaar is also in progress, and the facade work of the public restroom of the seminary has been completed. In addition, repairs to the pavement and bridge of Eiman 9 alley located on Mohseni Street, and restoration of the sidewalk paving at the intersection of Qaem-Maqam and Adabjou streets, have also been fully completed.
