According to the public relations office of the Arak Metropolitan Municipality, Food Street, as one of the city’s prominent tourism and cultural projects, was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Alireza Mahmoudi, the mayor of Arak, members of the City Council, and a number of citizens. This project has been implemented with the aim of creating a cheerful and safe space for families, supporting small businesses, and developing urban tourism. Food Street includes numerous stalls offering a variety of traditional foods, fast food, desserts, and beverages, which will operate under the direct supervision of the municipality and in full compliance with health standards. The mayor of Arak said at the opening ceremony of this project: Food Street is an important step toward revitalizing urban spaces and strengthening social vitality. We have tried to make this axis one of the main recreational and tourism destinations in Arak and provide new employment opportunities for young people. He added: In the design and implementation of Food Street, issues such as beautifying the environment, lighting, urban furniture, live music performances, and cultural programs have also been taken into consideration in order to create a dynamic and attractive space for citizens.
